Q. Where are lessons done?
A. All lessons are done in the privacy of your own home or office.
Q. How often are the lessons?
A. Lessons are normally scheduled once each week.
Q. Do I teach young children?
A. No. In my many years of instructing younger students, it has become abundantly clear that children younger than pre-teen are not as capable of practicing their guitar, purely out of physicality. Younger children simple do not possess enough hand and finger strength to properly practice the guitar. I recommend that younger students consider lessons on piano or violin.
Q. How many lessons do I need?
A. More than one, less than a hundred. Usually, it takes an average beginner student a few months to learn how to play well on the guitar or bass guitar. Some students learn faster than others and some need a little more time to get to where they want to be. I take each lesson into consideration that every student learns at his/her pace and understanding. With continued practice and commitment, the average student will usually need at least 3-6 months of lessons to achieve their short-term goals. Some students continue their lessons for a number of years.
Q. What if I want to discontinue lessons?
A. Absolutely no refunds on lessons. Please read my discontinuation/cancellation policy here.
Q. What do I need to have for my lessons?
A. A working guitar. This means, a guitar that can be easily tuned and stays in tune. Hand-me-down or broken guitars will actually be more deterring than a quality guitar for practicing. You can find a good guitar for low prices at any local music store or online. Also, a notebook and preferably, a music stand.

Q. How can I pay for my lessons?
A. All payments are made through Zelle or Venmo only. No cash or checks accepted.
