Hello, I'm
David Garski,
I have been a private guitar and bass guitar instructor since 1996. My work includes 28 years of teaching in the Orlando and Central Florida area. I have been an instrumentalist and working musician since 1976. My first formal training began in 1976 with local Racine, Wisconsin teacher, Tony Collova. I continued music training at Walden III High School under the direction of Al Clausen. I began teaching private instruction in 1996 at the Thoroughbred Music Store (now Sam Ash) on Lee Road in Orlando, Florida. I continued scheduling private in-home lessons all over Central Florida including other music stores and studios in Florida. I take my experiences as a musician and bring it to every lesson, to help each student learn and understand the importance of practice and commitment. Having instructed well over 1500 students, I have the knowledge and experience to teach lessons to beginner and intermediate students alike.
All lessons are done in the comfort and privacy of the home or office of the student. Lessons are normally scheduled once each week and are 60-minutes and 45-minutes. Monthly (4) lessons are available. Six (6), Eight (8) and Ten (10) lesson packages are also available at a discounted rate. Instructions include learning how to practice and play the acoustic guitar, the electric guitar and the bass guitar. Right-handed and left-handed students are accepted. All payments for lessons must be paid via "Zelle" or Venmo before the beginning of each lesson series.
Continuation of lessons will require a payment for the next series of lessons on or before the last lesson of each prepaid series. This will ensure that the student will not forfeit his/her lesson day and time because of non-payment. All students are required to practice all weekly lessons accordingly given by the instructor.
Lessons include but are not limited to the following: Building your chord vocabulary, learning practicing techniques, learning how to play your favorite songs, learning how to write your own songs, basic understanding of music theory applied to the guitar or bass guitar, improvisation and creative approach to learning scales and melodies and tuning and maintenance of your guitar, including how to change your strings. Weekly scheduling of students is done on a first come, first serve basis and logistical availability. Each student is required to have and maintain a playable instrument for his/her lessons and provide a quiet seating area for the lessons. Children between the ages of 12-17 years of age will require a parent or legal guardian present during the lesson. If you have question or comments about your lessons and requirements, please feel free to contact Dave Garski.
