Where do I schedule my lessons?

As you may already be aware by the title of my website, I schedule in-home guitar lessons in and around the city of Orlando and all over Central Florida. I do, however, have a limited amount of distance that I will drive. There are many places that are just too far away to schedule logistically. The following is a list of towns, areas and places I normally schedule lessons logistically. Please keep in mind that not all areas in and around Orlando and Central Florida are scheduled. This may be due to high crime areas, commercial property areas and insufficient free or congested parking areas like downtown Orlando.

Orlando - The city of Orlando is colossal. There are many smaller areas and communities that will be listed separately in this outline. I normally schedule lessons in safe neighborhoods, gated communities, apartments and other residential areas around Orlando. There are places where I do not schedule lessons. Those are high crime areas, commercial or industrial properties and high traffic, low or insufficient free parking areas like downtown Orlando. If a student wishes to have their lessons done at their job or office, this can be arranged. I do not schedule lessons in high rise buildings or outside venues like parks or playgrounds. I do not schedule any lessons at or on any school campuses or properties. All lessons are ideally scheduled in the home of the student.

Winter Park/College Park/Edgewater - As with the city of Orlando, these areas are very large as they outline most of the northern parts of Orlando. These are quieter communities, which makes for a nice quiet environment for doing lessons.

Bay Hill/Dr. Phillips/Windermere/Isleworth/Metrowest - The west side of town is also vast and expansive. Much of these areas are gated communities as well and usually requires approved access by security.

Alafaya/Avalon Park/UCF and University areas/Union Park - This is the east side of town. Lessons will never be scheduled on the UCF campus, but local apartments, dorms and housing is usually okay. Alafaya and Avalon Park have many apartment complexes and gated residential communities.

Oviedo/Chuluota/Aloma - Northeast areas of Central Florida have limited scheduling due to logistics. Oviedo and Chuluota are several miles from downtown Orlando, so scheduling of two or more students is always better.

Longwood/Maitland/Altamonte Springs/Heathrow/Casselberry - Points north and west. Again, these areas of Central Florida are several miles from downtown Orlando and require logistical planning. Ideally, having two or more students scheduled in these areas on one day during the week, will be the most beneficial.

Places I do NOT schedule lessons - I never schedule lessons anywhere near the Disney or I-Drive attractions. I do not schedule lessons in St. Cloud or Kissimmee. Over the past 28 years, I have scheduled many students in the Hunters Creek/SouthChase/Meadow Woods areas, but these are also limited areas due to logistics. If I have at least two students in those areas, I will easily be able to arrange scheduling. I also do not normally schedule lessons in Lake Mary or Sanford. This is simply due to traveling distance. If a student wishes to schedule lessons in those areas, they would be required to pay additional costs to cover travel time, fuel and tolls. I no longer schedule students in Wedgefield. Again, this is due to distance and logistical scheduling.

Orlando and Central Florida have exploded in size and population, in the 36 years I have lived here. I know Central Florida very well. I have instructed hundreds of students all over Central Florida. I am always willing to discuss options for locations for lessons. Every situation is different.
